Anyone know when the 6.1 Hemi will be available? I thought I read that it was due in '05, but there is nothing on Dodge's website.

Look for it in the 2006 SRT-8 300s and Chargers...and in the Heavy Duty Rams in 2006 as well.

 

Wonder what it will cost to get one from the dealer to swap out my 5.7?

 

if you guys want, i can check the cost on a long block from chrysler...i saw the info today, the 300C SRT-8 is in our showroom...and thr 6.1L hemi is for the 05 SRT8. i dont know abotu the trucks yet...

 

To much! You'd be better off just trading it in for a truck equipped w/the 6.1. It'd have to be a 2500 or 3500 however, as I hear they won't be in the 1500 series.

 

If they make a new Bee with the 6.1 I will trade, if not I will have to see about getting the 6.1 for my bee. Hopefully it will bolt up to my tranny. I would think that it would be the same block, just a bigger stroke.

 

there is no 'truck' 6.1 listed for 2005...only the SRT-8 6.1L...also, i do not yet have any pricing on parts, short block, heads, etc.
