I went with Line-X @ $425 for the 6'6" RAM box. National limited lifetime warranty with Independent dealers most everywhere. Installed in a day, and according to my installer, if I catch an edge with a shovel and tear the lining, Line-X will repair at no cost. Occasionally, additional discount coupons available on-line at Line-X website.

I also got the Line-x. $425 for my shortbed. Lifetime warranty nation wide. Guaranteed to not scratch, chip, fade or anythingelse. Better and cheaper than Rhino. If the U.S military used it to spray the Pentagon's walls than it's good enough for my truck.

The U.S. Military always goes with the lowest bidder, per GSA directives....it's no guarantee of quality. Just look at our Humvees in Iraq.....

I'm sure pres. Bush doesn't care about the equipment and the 18 year old kids he sends to Iraq to fight for his oil but the Pentagon is different story. That's where all the top military minds meet. you think they would risk their own lives to save money. Also just the fact that the military would even consider line-x is enough. p.s. politics is another topic that doesn't belong on a truck forum so I wont reply to any more of those topics.

I would think that most spray on liners are about the same, price 400-450 range. My 2001 has the plastic liner, DON'T do that. It scratches the paint, better chance of rusting under the plastic liner, (water can get trapped under there) Go spray in, just find the best deal.

Line-X all the way for me! I had it done to my old Dakota, and just had it applied to my new '05 1500 when it was less than a week old. I'll never have another truck without it. Line-X has the best warranty by far, and their prices are resonable. I had a $75 gift cert discount from my dealer, used it to get an under-rail liner with tailgate overlap for $326 including tax. It's the best thing you'll ever do for the truck. Plus, Line-X has dealers nationwide, so if you move you can still take advantage of the lifetime warranty.
