Default 45RFE and Amsoil?

Ok guys, I'm new to this forum, and I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere on this forum. I have a 2002 ram quad cab, 4x4 with a 4.7 liter V-8, and the 45RFE transmission. I am seriously considering switching to Amsoil transmission fluid, and was wondering if anyone has done this to their ram? The Amsoil fluid is supposed to meet Chrysler ATF+4 specs, but I don't want to make a costly mistake. Thanks.

Jasons02,

You will not have any problem with AMSOIL ATF. It meets all specs for your truck.

Jason, my truck has AMSOIL in the trans, AMSOIL does meet and exceed
the standards. Shifts are smoother, and you'll have peace of mind
knowing that your Trans is running cooler, w/less friction, and better
performance.

Thanks guys, I think I'll go ahead and have the transmission shop put the Amsoil in my truck.

Any other experiences with Amsoil ATF? I have a 2004 that is about to get all synlubes put in. I'd like to see some benefit in the transmission.

What's the cost of the Amsoil tranny fluid?
