I have an awful sound when going into reverse. It is not so noticeable after it warms up.I wonder if it could be the regulator valve pressure plug. has any one experienced this problem any help would be appreciated

 

I had what may have been similar. When I put it into reverse I had a nasty whining/grinding type noise. It was the bands in my autotranny out of adjustment. I had this done at a shop and it went away. Scared me the first time I heard it. Thought the tranny was going to burn up or something.
