I have a 99 dodge ram v6 truck with a 5 speed manual tran. Was driving at 75 mph in fifth gear and lost power--motor was running but truck was not pulling. Heard a clicking sound--coasted to around forty and put truck in fourth gear and it was ok. When i had to stop i put shift lever in first --it appreared normal--but truck would not pull. No matter what gear i put lever in the trans stays in fourth gear. Put lever in neutral and it was still in fourth. Does anyone have any ideas.

Clutch or gear sychronizers could be shot.
