Is there anyone out there that know how many extra hp`s the new 305hp diesel Dodge can take? I have just bought one, and the dealer gave me an tuning oportunity I could not refuse. He gave it to me free of charge. This kit is not installed yet, but I will do it if it is recomendable. The kit should give the Cummins an extra 60-100 hp. Tourqe unknown. But I don`t want to "overload" it because of the transmission. I don`t have a clue about how much the tranny can take without changing converter and stuff. I had a 95 before this one and I gave it around 300 hp`s, but then I had to put in a BD converter an rebuild the tranny. </P>

Superchips has a System called the D-BOX that ads +185Lb ft of Torque and +65HP. It says it is for the 98-02 Diesels... but I'll check and see if it will work with the 03's!

 

My brother just put a full bullydog kit on his and is pushing huge numbers on his 99 3500. He has had it for a few months and hasnt really had any problems with the trans. He has probably put about 10000 miles on it and it still runs strong.

 

YOU COULD GO TO 450-500 HP AND 700 TQ. BUT YOU WILL ALSO BE GOING THROUGH THE AUTO TRANS. THE STOCKFLEX PLATE WILL NOT HOLD UP.
