Factory Service Manual
I am supposed to be receiving my new ram 2500 this May. I've always done nearly all my own mechanic work in the past and plan on continuing. Has anyone attempted to get the factory service manual for one of the newer Rams yet. I contacted Mopar a while back and asked and of course, they just referred me to my dealer. I'm really curious if it has all the info you would ever need to do a full rebuild of the vehicle front to back.....or just a lot of money for not much more than an owners manual?
Do a search on Ebay Motors; I got a copy of the CD for $44.99 plus 5.95 Shipping. It's a copy of the manual, but why pay $90+ for literally the same thing. The CD covers all Models and Engine types. 1500 ST, 1500 SLT, 1500 Laramie, 2500/3500 ST, 2500/3500 SLT, and 2500/3500 Laramie with Engines 3.7L, 4.7L, 5.7L, SRT10 8.3L and 5.9L Diesel Cummins.
Yeah the CD from eBay is the least expensive way to go. I have read a couple stories where the ebay CDs had problems, but I'm sure it happens to the factory ones too. Either way, the CD is a whole lot cheaper than the actual paper manual.
I have seen the 03 and 04 manuals on other sites I can't link here.

How can you tell which CD manuals on eBay are the good ones? They range in price from 1 cent to 20 dollars, at least the few I have seen. I can't imagine the 1 cent'rs are as good as the higher priced ones. But I could be wrong.
