Hey, I'm in the south, that looks sturdy enough for year-round camping for me!
Awesome looking, too!

Should fit fine if it's between 6 and 7 feet long. They have ones for long beds too that are over 8 feet long.

Check out this link which gives fitting requirements for ALL trucks (cough)....

Maybe we should buy these tents, put them in our RAMS, and get an iron on for the outside that says :

"Tenters RAMMING Style do it BEST"

Hey...be interesting to know where everyone camps here? As I said before, I camp up near Santa Barbara
called EL Capitan. This campsite only costs 11 dollars a night and they have full shower/bathroom facilities.
Campsite is surrounded by big California Redwood trees and Pine...and if you walk about 1/4 mile towards
the ocean, you walk down a short path that takes you right onto the beach. Since this beach is secluded,
it's always very private and a great way to "veg" from life itself. There is also a little shop hut on the beach
run by the wife of the ranger that sells hot dogs, wood and of course beer if needed

That's cool. I Love to camp, but I usualy pack everything on my boat and find a spot out on the lake somewhere, which means my truck would be of no use. I like the way it has a porch too.

Try this . Put your RAM on a Ferry...then you have the best of both worlds

Boating is awesome... just trying to keep the best of what we can do with the
RAM here.

All my best......Michael (7 cups of coffee so far today)

We camp in the Talladega National Forest, in NE AL. There's a campsite with electricity and running water as well as a very nice lake for swimming and/or fishing. The only drawback to camping in the forest is that there is no alcohol allowed [&o] so, we just have fun without it and of course, it makes for a safer outing! I'm going to have to get one of those tents!

Are you still allowed to have fire? Every summer for about two weeks they ban fires here because it gets dry. We built a fire during one of those weeks and the Sheriff came up because someone reported us. We had water and rocks by the fire so nothing would happen so he told us if we made him a brat he'd leave us alone.

We do, unless there's drought conditions. We usually get more than enough rain throughout the year, because it seldom gets cold enough to snow. I DO have a friend in law enforcement out there in the woods, though! He likes brats and 'cold ones' too!

Well, it is that time of year. Was it just not working out? As long as you can watch the race, you're in good shape! I 'll have to get one of these in time for Talladega! Go Jr.!
