Default my exhaust

Can someone tell me if this will be helpful or hurtful. I am having exhaust installed on my truck friday and the guy is going to run 2.5 from the headers back including a H-pipe so there will be no cat, but it will be a true dual. I was going to install some stainless glasspacks or high performance mufflers will this help me out in HP and TQ. I must know before friday.
Thanks

I honestly don't know. I have exhaust from the headers and it helped me a lot. I bet it would help you out, I don't see it hurting anything.

the only thing I was worried about is losing backpressure and or losing torque. Does anyone else have any opinions[X(]

2.5 inch is pretty big for a street engine with minor mods. It may hurt your bottom end a little. If your have a good set of heads, big cam, it will definitely help over single exhaust.

what year is your truck and where do you live? i know in california, not having a cat on anything '75 and newer is not leagal. however, other states miht have different laws. as far as performance gains, you should be pleased with whatyou come out with. backpressure shouldnt be muc of a problem, as long as you keep mufflers or glasspacks on. also, the 2.5 inch pipes should be fine, because i think that rams (at least newer ones) come with 2.5 inch pipes stock.
