I am looking into replacing my worn out 95 360, I found a motor out of a 2003 -- anyone have a thought on this

Have fun bypassing the EGR system that your 95 Ram was equipped with. The newer engine is different and runs off of a different computer also. The actual block should work if i'm not mistaken.

Anything newer than 02 should be the 3.7, 4.7, and 5.7 engines. All 96 and up 318/360 engine are virtually identical except for the computer. The 94 and 95 Rams are different because they had an EGR system and different emissions standards. Here is an example of the newer emissions equipment, my 94 has one cat and only (1) O2 sensor whereas my Dakota has (4) O2 sensors (1) Cat and (2) pre cats.

In early 2003, you were still able to get the 5.9 360 magnum in the Ram 1500.

thanx for the help, the 2003 is a 5.9 Magnum engine as the last post said they must have had them for half-year production. As for the EGR and injection components, I was considering using my old intake/injection. I was wondering whether the balancing and the pilot on the crank were the same?
