Any one have any input on this matter? The 03 truck I purchased used 2 years ago, had one of the stick on chrome panels letting go on the top. The fellow selling it said you can just peel them off. Well the truck was a pretty good deal so I bought it any way, thinking it will be a cheap fix.
Well since then I've heard horror stories about this and no one seems to want to repair it. Every one at the detail shops ect. says the best thing to do is glue them back down, because you will desrtoy them and make a mess of your paint, and or body if you try to peel them. I glued it down myself with a good adhesive but it only held for about 6 months.
It is not very noticable but I hate the water, dirt , salt ect. going in there and eventually rusting the door out.
