Default Hemi...growing old?

Well,

Some may be like me....around 2003, bought the RAM Quad Cab with Hemi, because with a 5.7 Liter producing 345 Horsepower...it was a thrill.....and around town, burning up roads and beating most others was a blast as well....

Now, here is mid 2005, going soon to 2006....Hemi's being pushed now to 6.1 Liter for a very good reason, to stay ahead in the V8 Market as best as possible....but here in lies what really is burning me up....

Spending money on throttle spaces, cold air intakes..etc....sure there is much more boost, but as I just took a nice long trip from Los Angeles to Scottsdale, Arizona (only about 370 miles but that's long for us Los Angeles folks), I opened up my Hemi..passing all the others and then topped out at 106MPH...it just wouldn't go above that....

I know I could add a chip to take it above, but the RAM just isn't "designed" to push much faster, so now the SRT-10 is looking quite better at 500HP and designed for the speed and 149MPH (approx) limit. I am saving my dough...thank goodness I kept my RAM in good condition. But SRT...your winning my heart and passion for speed!

Ok...anyone else feel this way?

Default RE: Hemi...growing old?

you could just spend a whole lot less and get a magnum if you want speed.
