My cruise control does not always come on when I press the on/off button and when it is on, it will kick itself off for no apparent reason. Anyone heard of this problem or better yet, the solution???

 

Mine has done that in the past and has been replaced, and the best thing to do is to make an appointment with the dealer. I assume the truck is still under BTB warranty, right? Alot of the time, it's the speed control module. They replaced mine 2X and it still occasionally does it. The dealer claims that their Techs can't reproduce the problem. By any chance, does this problem happen under ceratin weather conditions? Or is the engine cold or hot? Mine does it more when it's not up to operating temp. yet.

 

Can you tell me the color code of tlhe speed sensor signal that inputs the cruise control?

Mine will not turn on at times and when it does, it will cut out after a few minutes of use. It happens all the time on my truck...

 

The dealership fixed my cruise control today. They said they flashed the PCM??? I don't know for sure what that means, but it works now.
