really anti-social, my 04 hemi beeps whenever i lock the doors and its pretty loud

can this be truned off ?

The info you seek is actually in the owners manual I believe. If you are referring to the beep you get when you use your remote keyless system. There is a way to turn that off when you lock your doors. I think its a 3 to 4 step process that is explained in detail in the OM. Good Luck

 

You should leave it on as you can accidentally turn it off as you walk away from the vehicle leaving it unprotected AND unlocked...

 

Agreed... now for that damn seat belt bell.

 

I would not disable the "beep" for the reason posted above. If I am in a place where I don't want the horn to sound, I simply push the door lock before I shut the door, making use of the remote unnecessary. And, no, the doors will not lock if you have forgotten to remove the key from the ignition. I lock my truck almost 100% of the time using this procedure.

that beeping lock thing saved me during the cold days of christmas shopping in december, forgot where i parked outside at the mall, but i followded the beep noise and voila, theres the truck
