Let me know if you have any questions.
I saw an advertisement for the Volant Ram-Air Intake scoop in this month's Truckin magazine. It extends the intake to the OEM fender through the opening normally reserved for the left fog-light. Have you seen this? Is it any good? Do you plan to carry this item?

Hello,

Well I have not looked at my copy of Trukin magazine yet. Do they list a part number in the ad? If so get it to me, and I can get it. I will give smokin deals to anyone on the Dodge Forum. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Thanks

It looks like the part number is 36857. I already put a K&N Filter in my Hemi, but since I decided to add a Corsa catback system, I'm interested in getting more air to maximize performance without a big sucking sound coming from the engine compartment. Of course, I need to convince the misses that I need yet something else for this brand new truck, so I'm not quite ready order anything yet. I do like the idea of a smoking deal though.

guys

if you are putting in an exhaust and filter for performance gains only on a late model truck, DONT !!

for $600+ you might net a couple or 3 hp that you frankly will not notice, not exactly good value is it ? much more likely is that you will mess up yr air fuel and back pressure ratio and lose power
lets face it any intake that tries to take cool air from inside a motor compartment is pretty dumb !

dont understimate the technology at the factory AND the competitive pressure they face, both add up to you getting amazing value and if there are easy gains to be had your truck will already have em

i just put a flowmaster on my 04 and i did it for one reason only, sound ! i crossed my fingers and hoped i wouildnt lose power

Any news? The misses is starting to weaken. [sm=smiley15.gif]

Does Volant make any performance claims for the ram-air? I will have give a fog light, but for extra hp it should be worth it.
