Aight guys, I got a V6 3.9L 03 Quad Cab ram and its a 5 speed transmission. I want to swap it out either with the V8 4.7 or the Hemi. I want to know what all i would need to accomadate this swap.

Will I need a new transmission? (I want to try to keep a manual, I love them)
If so what would i need

Will I need a new axle (gearing)? I think i got 4.11 gearing back there.

Umm if i would need anything to accomadate the swap that i havnt mentioned plz let me know. I wont be doing it now, but will be in the future. Im trying to do alot of research on it, and see what the total cost is going to be.

buy a truck already equipped w/a V8 and a manual tranny (4.7L) and save you a ton of problems!

 

Have to change shocks and maybe coil springs to allow for the extra weight.

 

engine, all of the electronics that controls it, tranny (yours is not strong enough) and rear diff (again, yours is not strong enough). you might as well sell it and get the truck you want...
