Default Damaged Window Tint

FYI...

I added after-market tint to my '03 Dodge Ram QC and within the first week noticed that there were vertical scratches forming on the tint. At first i didn't think anything of it, then i questioned the installer. They installer told me try talking to Dodge. Well, I am attacking Dodge with this TSB 23-025-03. It states that some '03 Dodge Rams were built without a certain rubber guard that is there to prevent the scratching that is occuring on my tint. My truck is at the dealer and the part is on order. I have to bring the truck in again once the part comes in. I questioned the service guy if Dodge would pay for me to get the tint redone as the scratches were caused by a defect in the vehicle. He said that they do not pay for after-market parts added to the vehicle. I threw out that it was caused by a defect in the vehicle and now i need to talk to the dealer manager to see if they will re-imberse me for the damage. I'll keep you updated on this.

Anyway, just thought this would be helpful if you are experiencing the scratches on your window!

I have the same problem but I haven't had time to take it to the dealer. At least now I know there is a TSB on it.
