Silly question
Does the 2002 Dodge Ram have the ability to adjust itself to the driver?
I have heard that some vehicles have that ability and can compensate for the drivers habits.
I usually hear this when the battery is replaced or dead, the mechanic states that the computer has to re-learn.
Urban Legenf or truth?

RE: Silly question
Yes, the 02 1500's had the adaptive automatic transmission that learned your driving style and adjusted the shift points accordingly. Its noticeable because I commute in my Ram and the wife and I trade out every now and a gain for a month or so. I take it easy so I can get about 18mpg, and the truck shifts at low rpm and gets good mileage. When I get it back its been getting about 15mpg, holds gears longer, and tries to run away. Anyway, in answer to your question, Yes.
