Default Synthetic Oil

Hello All,
I'll be arriving at the magical 6,000 miles on my 04 Hemi 4x4 and would like to know about synthetic oil. There are a lot of brands out there, which ones would you guys, or girls, recommend? Also, should I change to synthetics so soon? or should I wait another 6,000 miles? The manual recommends 5w-40 (i think, not reading the manual right now) would that be the same for synthetic oil? Another thing...can I but it from someone here? I would rather give the business to fellow dodge owners..

Thanks...

Default RE: Synthetic Oil

Mobil-1 and Amsoil are your brands of choice. Check the websites for each product, they will tell you which type of oil to use. Synthetics are the best thing since sliced bread....remember to change your oil per the manufacturer's recommendation. Stay away from Jiffy-Lube and other places of the same nature![sm=smiley4.gif]
