Default Running boards for Quad Cab

I'm looking at purchasing a 1500 Quad Cab 4x2 with long box and am looking at putting on some running boards. I'm presently driving a F150, and am not real familiar with the Dodge's. I think I'd be looking at metal ones with either an aluminum or a black finish. I see some of them are listed as "no drilling required". As these as strong and rigid as the drilled ones? Any suggestions on which ones to get would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Are you referring to nerf bars? or OEM running boards? they both are useable and are strong...however the OEM running boards require drilling...........

Westin has a nice set of Chrome S.S. nerf side bars, which I want to pick up soon. $~450-500.
