The automatic transmission just went out on my 98 Ram 1500 (318) after 60,000 miles. I had a Dealer Rebuilt transmission installed (for $3,000)!

I hear from others that orginal Mopar transmissions can be problematic, but many of the problems are fixed by some rebuilders.

My question is this - is the rebuilt transmission that I got from Dodge the exact SAME as the one that failed - OR is this rebuilt one from Dodge improved over my orginal one?
