Default K&N filter cost

I found a K&N filter online for my 5.9l for $47 with free shipping and no tax. Is that about right?

For some reason I expected it to be more $.

Just checked PEP Boys site, you got a great price on filter, just make sure the S&H don't bite ya. I ordered some stuff from PB a few $'s more than others but the S&H was free and it got to my house in less than 2 days, not bad I thought. Good luck.

Thats not a bad price at all. Is it worth it to get the K & N FIPK or just buy the drop in? Then again were talking ~$50 vs. ~250.

Just reading this made me take a step closer and I feel that I am going to buy the K&N FIPK which is about $279....I saw it on Pep Boys for $339 which is obvious they are covering for their "free" shipping. If anyone can vouch for me to click the order button today and order the FIPK, I will do so I can just feel that my HEMI wants more air

Thanks Everyone!

OK, I am NOT a motor head, but I was curious what the FIPK does?

are they hard to install? They look simple enough.

Does it duplicate the K&N Air Filter or inaddition to it?

Why doesn't Dodge just install this equipment (and exhaust stuff) if it improves efficiency?

Amanda is right the K&N FIPK kit is definetly worth the price gives you all the air you truck can suck and it also gives off a nice roar when accelerating or under a load. You can actually hear it sucking the air when your driving down the road of course i can hear mine better since the turbo is pulling more air but alot the guys i know just installed them also they are really happy with the difference between just drop in K&N filter to the FIPK kit. They really dont take that long to install. They come will detailed instructions and generally take about 15 minutes to install. Another nice thing about the kits is it gives your engine a more showy look. Good luck
