Default FLIPING THE SPRINGS

I got a quick question. Can you flip your leaf spring and put them on the bottom of your axle. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and want to lower the rear of the truck just about 3 inchs. So I was wondering if you could just put the leaf spring on the bottom instead of on the top. If so is this safe.

Yes you can. There are "flip kits" that run about $80 but it will drop the rear 5"-6". If you want to spend more money, (too much in my opinion), you can get the flip kits with lift shackles that are good for about a 4" drop.

I recommend the 3" lowering springs you mentioned in another post. They are easier to install and you get the drop you are looking for.
