I have taken off my axel to my Dodge ram 1500 and now trying to get the carrier out of the differential. Having problems getting the carrier out. Does the truck have to be in 4 wheel drive or two to pull the carrier out. Please help me out with this problem.

 

you have both axle shafts out correct. if so you have to remove the intermidate shaft, goes into right side. then you can use 2 pry bars to pry carrier assembly out.
