I agree... I don't even gauge my MPG as I'm sure I would cry. I know it's all me though, I drive like it's always a race to the front.

Vader, are you going to do both mods at the same time? I'm curious as to the performance of the headers alone. I've read that some headers will loose too much low end toruqe, which is what I want. Can you take some mental notes on low-end torque before/after the install?

On my last tank of gas I got 15.3 MPG out of my 4.7. But most of my driving is on the freeway. To and from school and to and from work mostly. But I also get stuck in some stop and go traffic, so I was rather pleased when I saw 15.3

That mileage is great out of the 4.7.

I am starting the process of reviewing stock vs. After dynos on the Headers. I will post what I find.

However the Fastman is next. They are Dyno proven at 14-16 rwhp gain

I put a set of Gibsons on a few weeks ago and the MPG numbers are about what I expected. Around town and in traffic I went from 13MPG to about 12MPG. I will explain this as me making the difference. I have been in the throttle a bit more in traffic and from light to light.

I went on a strait freeway last week for a 140 mile ride. Total milage in the fill-up cycle was 228 miles (about 180 highway and 48 or so in traffic or city streets. I got 15.75 MPG. Now my best prior to any engine mods was 16.5MPG but this was freeway only with no city of traffic driving.

I will let you guys know the strait freeway milage in the next few days. I have to go to Salinas and back tomorrow (about 100 miles) and I will fill before and after.

Eric
