Default Rear Window "Goop Residue"

I recently purchased a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT to keep in Texas as a second vehicle...the rear window (solid glass not sliding) apparently had an incorrect seal/gasket installed when it was replaced for some reason before I purchased it. I found water leaking in the back seat and the dealership I bought the truck from replaced the seal but there is a lot of black residue from the sealant or whatever.

Any thoughts on what might take this off or at least make it less noticeable? Maybe Goo Gone? Something else that won't ruin the paint?

Thanks in advance!

very very careful use acetone or lacquer thinner , it will soften paint if left on (so will goo gone if left on though) use a sharp razor blade to scrape what you canbefore using chemicals
