I am mechanically minded but older!! Is the water pump a job that's a major pain or a easy project knowing I have the tools to do it for the first time?? Any first timers who wish they didn't or found it o/k??
Thanks

Mr Keaton; it seems that I'm being graded by my high school language arts teacher. I asked a pretty simple question, I've seen three you-tubes, and all were different, hence my question. I joined this site for valued info from experts and or experiments. Sooo have YOU actually replaced the water pump before and can answer that part??
Yes I have replaced many water pumps. It is not that hard of a job and can be done with basic hand tools. Disconnect the battery, remove the fan shroud, remove the cooling fan, drain the cooling system, remove the serpentine belt, remove the hoses, remove the water pump. Installation is reverse of removal. Bleed the system when done to ensure no air is in the system.
Still don't know what your air conditioner has to do with any of this though. Can you not see the confusion in that just might be generated by your thread title and your actual question? I can't read your mind. I can only address what you write and if I can't understand what you write you will probably be dissapointed in the responses you get.
