Default keyless entry

Hi, recently purchased a 2002 Ram QC 5.9L sport package. I really wanted the keyless entry, but all the dealer gave me were a few sets of keys. If I buy the keyless remote, will it work?
Is there some sensor I should look for on the truck?
Are they easy to program?
I saw a few remotes on EBAY, but dont want to waste the time and money if they will not work
thanks,
beis

I have been shopping a RKE system too.

Installers tell me that there are are extra parts required to make the doors unlock. Supposedly, Dodge does something a little bit different with it's unlock mechanisms. I decided to go with an alarm/RKE combo.

You have to buy the reciever which plugs into the back of your guage cluster ,them have it programmed by a Dodge tech @ 1 hour labor.

The reciever and 2 keyfobs is $99.00 from the dealer.[8D]

I think the dealer can tell from your VIN number. If not, then your gonna have to take the gauge cluster out and check....[&:]
