A friend of mine has an 02 Ram with the 5.9 engine and recently, while changing oil, he noticed that the rear seal is leaking. I believe that he may be able to get this repaired under the 7/70 warranty but he was wondering if this was a common problem with the 5.9 once they get several miles on them.

I had two previous Dakotas which both had the 5.9 and I never had this problem. Does anyone out there know if this was a particular problem with these engines or just a happen-so with his?
