I have a 98 Quad-Cab with the 5.9L. Could anyone give me any advice on how to give me more pulling power. I have a 32ft Travel trailer and find that i need more pulling power. I will probably put flowmaster exhust. Would like to find out if anyone has tried underdrive pullies. Dose it affect the electrical system or the ac? I am thinking of getting the hypertech programmer 3. I am also hoping that it will save me some gas millage. Any input on this would be apprecated.

Hi there, that is really a good question, I am also pulling a travel trailer but mine is 30 foot, and the dry weight is 5,200lb. How heavy is your trailer? I am pulling the trailer with an 2004 Quad, Tow package, 5.9L Hemi truck.

the two things that will help you pull better would be headers and a performance exhaust set up...or a cam!
dont go real big wih the cam..but you could see some good low RPM gains from a mild cam

4.10 or 4.56 gears would be a huge imporovement.

Amen, better gears will do more for your towing than a basket full of engine mods, and will probably improve your mileage while towing!

If swapping new gears into your truck is not feasible, then your best bet would be to go with the exhaust & headers. A cold-air intake, and the Hypertech unit will probably help most at higher RPM's, not for off-the-line torque.
