Default spinnig tires

I've got a 04 1500 reg cab 2wd 4.7 5sp auto 3.55 rear with about 700 mi. on the odometer. Last night I tried to spin the rear tires and it won't do it.
I don't want to power brake it or beat it, but I thought for sure it would have enough guts to turn a tire.
Is this programming or something that will chang when the truck is broken
in? I love the truck any way just wondered if something is wrong with my truck.

I have an '01 5.9L Quad cab sitting on 35" tires and I can sit there and smoke 'em all day. I would assume the 4.7 would be able to do it but that engine might not have enough torque.

Your 3.55's are your enemy. Give it some time. With only 700 on the OD, I would be to concerned.

I think vader means I wouldn't be to concerned.

3.55 is low and my guess is its a locking differential?

Automatic overdrive so you'd have to put it into a lower gear, and just try it with the brakes on.

I have the same problem If I try 3 or four times it will break loose. I only had 800 miles the last time I tried and now have about 1800 so I might try it again. Gas and tires are to expensive to be doing it very much.
