Dodge will not sell just upper ball joints for replacement, they sell the whole A arm, "because they are riveted". I searched for just the upper ball joints and found MOOG sells a kit in their "problem solver" line where you can replace just the ball joints. You need to cut and drill the rivets out (4" hand grinder works great). The new joints are bolted in with bolts that come in the kit. Moog suggests to remove the A arm to do the work, but the job can be done in the truck...I did it. The whole job took about two hours for both.
