Default Cost to lift 04 hemi ram?

I went offroad a couple weeks ago and just about got my poor ram stuck in some mud(not a whole lot might I add). It's a 4x4 hemi w/ the 20 in wheels. I was wondering how much it would cost for a lift kit and new tires and what not. I don't want to lift it a whole lot just enough to make it look good. What all do I need?

-Thanks

Check out Superlift.com. You can save quite a bit of money if you install the lift yourself, but wouldn't suggest it if you don't have the right equipment. Had a 5" lift installed on mine and was professionally installed for under $2k...which included new everything in the suspension, steering, etc. I didn't shop around a whole lot on the install price, so I'm not sure if it was a good deal or not...I just know it looks awesome!

That looks about right, I might go a touch smaller. I was wondering if I'd have to get new rims and if not what kind of tires I need to get also. I don't need anything too extreme.

I've got the BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain 35x12.50R16.5's. If I remember right, I think they cost me around $220/tire.

Hey Synseq,

I just looked into a 6" lift for my friends '03 Ram 1500 with the 17" rims, and.. i found out some interesting things. All of which dont matter to you, but im gonna put em in here for others that might be interested in lifting there's. The stock 17" dont have enuff backspacing to work wit 3/4's of the lift compaines out there right now, Rancho was the only one that offered two different lift's, one normal one, like the rest of them kits, where you have to replace the stock rims, which is no big deal, most of us are replacing the stock rims, and puttin on new rubber at the same time. The other kit, comes with smaller tierod ends to work with with the 17"s, which.. i didnt like.. smaller aint better. I myself am a superlift fan, alwasy have, dunno why. ITs teh route ill be going next year, with some nice 35" Mickey Thompson Claws.

Best of luck, and have fun

Troy

Hey Synseq, I put a 3" body lift on my 03. It allowed me to put some MT Baja Claws 35" on my stock 17" rims (no rubbing at all). It only cost me $322.00. I installed it myself. Next year I will be getting a Full Throttle 10" lift put on it, but for the time being, I love it like it is.
