Well as far as I know it is the same axel, so it should not be too hard. There are also companies that make complete swap kits for those trucks, like Baer and AP racing.

As long as the diffs are the same and you can find a wrecked to swipe parts off it should be slam dunk, good luck finding a wrecked 4X4 with the same axle and 4-wheel disc that you can rob though. To buy all the stuff new would be huge money. Better off going with Baer.

Shouldn't be 80's in a 2500-should be 60 or 70. Ther are 4 possible axles used in late 90's early 2K they are 9.25, Dana 60, 70, and 80. Usually the 1500 has a 9.25 and 2500 has 60-70 leaving the 80 for the 3500.

Ok New question Does any body know anything about a check valve in the line with the drum brakes which would leave the disk starving for fluid??? because the axels from my 2001.5 and my 99 look identical and I believe the master cylinder is the same also.

Its called a residual pressure valve and it isn't in the master cylinder, its inline if it has one. BTW you have mail.
