I ordered the supermax header/cat system today. It wasn't cheap, but should yield around 25hp and 40 some lb's of torque. It's going on a 4x2 rumble bee I just got last week. Anyone have this system already? Noticeable gains?

Wow, are those advertised gains or can they back it up with a Dyno ?? Either way, I hope you see gains like that. Good Luck.

 

I've been looking at that system, it's nice. You'll have to let us know what you think. Have you done any dyno pulls with your truck? I would find it interesting to see if the gains are as good or better than they claim. With the way the stock set-up is and the way the Supermax system looks, it shouldn't be hard to get those gains.

 

Todd, is the stock set-up that poor on your engine ?

 

I'll tell you what. The exhaust manifolds on the Hemi look like a couple of sewer pipes or logs. I can't believe DC went to all the trouble they did with this engine to put some POS manifold on it like they did. For the rest of the system, it's looks pretty good, but there probably is room for some improvement. I THINK the Magnums had better manifolds than the stock Hemi. Obviously, I don't have any number to prove that though. I've heard different #'s for various headers, anywhere from 10-17 HP, but not a complete system like the Supermax.
