Default Question about doors.

Hey everyone, I am going to get my speakers in the front doors of my 98 dodge ram 1500 extended cab, and just now I was trying to take out the plastic molding on the inside of the car, but I couldn't do it. Anyone do this or know how to get it out so I can see the speaker opening in order to put the speakers in it, without breaking it. I noticed that inside there are a few screws holding the plastic to the metal, and I was wondering whats up with that, becuase I know I am not the first to take the plastic out and I know it has to be possible, if someone could help me that would be nice.
Thanks,
Mike.

Not sure what you are trying to do-remove the door panel or remove the speaker from the plastic spacer it is mounted to?

I have a '99 and I am assuming you have power windows. In order to get the door panel off, I had to do these things.
1. unscrew the panel from the door handle and remove that part. ( you know, what you grab to shut it :-) )
2.unscrew the panel from the side mirror.
3.gently lift the door panel away from the door on the bottom and take a peek at the type of fasteners. If they look like screws, gently pull it away a little at a time away from the door, and if you're careful, you should be able to reuse them.
Installation is the reverse of what I just mentioned. It's not really that hard, if you can't reuse the fasteners, just take one to the parts store, and you can buy a pack of more.
Good luck.

In the show time forum there is the sights and sounds part. I have a post going about the stock system in the 04 Ram. There is a poster (I can not remember his name) but he knows his stuff. If you have a question about anything car audio and Dodge this seems to be the guy to talk to. Other than that I have nothing else to offer
