Just picked it up today. How bad is it going to be on gas? Thanks for the input!

Hey, I can tell you about the gas mileage...it's not the best in the world, that's for sure. But, it'll pull a house, as they say!

Igenerally get about 10 around town, yep, 10 mpg. Where I live, there's a LOT of red lights, hills, etc. On the highway, 12-13 mpg if the wind is at my back, LOL seriously, 13 mpg if I'm not driving into the wind. I don't really mind, I don't have to drive very far to work, but maybe you do. I LOVE my truck. I just wish I could fix the little firing problem I am having right now. Hope this helps!

Hi Redleg.

The CowGirl is right. Expect about 10-12 MPG with a city/highway
mix. I had a '95 2500 V10. It was an incredible tow
vehicle, but loved the "go juice." Back then, it was the king of
the horsepower pile too. I used to tell people it'd pass anything
on the road, except a gas station.

Oddly enough, with the V10 in my little summer car, I can get up to 22
MPG on long rides. Of course, in 6th gear, it only turns 1500 RPM
at 80 MPH. That's almost one tire revolution per engine revolution (1.5:1 final drive ratio).
