Well, I'm possibly going to debadge my 03 2500 4x4 QC, but I'm definitely going to take the moulding off of the doors, damn black oem plastic

will it come off the same way as the badges? heat gun and fishing line/floss?

If you are still reading this thread. How do you like the 50 series Flowmaster? I am considering that same setup you have. How is the sound?

All i did was remove the badges from the tail gate. Lazyness you say? no, i just havent liked the ones i've seen completely bald. besides, most of the time the hemi logo sends em runnin'.

palm,
i've got the 50 series on my truck dumped straight dow by the rear wheels. if your looking for loud the flowmaster is certainly a way to go, after i put my intake on it almost seems too loud. all about personal preference though.

Bucko,

Thanks for the reply. Actually I have heard that the 50 series was not very loud, at least as compared to the others. I really don't want something very loud, just a good mellow tone. Is the 50 considered very loud?

For my taste it is almost too loud. Idle noise is hardly noticable but at wot it can get pretty loud especially with the windows down. I heard a magnaflow on my buddies 5.9 durango and it was nice (subtle but effective)

Vader,
sorry about the digression of the original post.[&:]

Anyone know about taking the side molding off of the doors? or just let a body shop do it?

naww You're not a dork. It started for me as being lazy and not having to get outhte tooth brush and clean around the badges.

I dont think youre a dork, brderj.... its all in what u like...
My 97 is a sport, and i like my badges, I think its because the sports are a solid color, whereas the others are not... but the RAM1500V8 stays on the side of mine... anyone have an older (95-00) Ram sport? If youve debadged it, howd u get the "SPORT" stickers off?
Also, anyone reply to whether or not the paint fades? assuming u take care of it, waxing and washing regularly, does it fade after a few years?
