Default Transfer Case Fluid to Use..

Want to change my fuilds to Synthetic for towing. In my manual is says to use DEXTRON III Automatic Transmission Fuild (Mopar P/N 4773590/91) or ATF+3 Type 7176 Automatic Transmission Fluid (P/N 05010124AA) for the TRANSFER CASE.

The Type 7176 is throwing me off. Was going to use Amsoil http://www.amsoil.com/products/atf.html. It does not list Type 7176 on it, but wondering would it still work or are their other recommendations? So what the heck is Type 7176? Does it just refer to ATF+3 or is it a special type of ATF+3?

Thanks!

Got a tech email response to my question from Amsoil. The Type 7176 is an old spec and their ATF Synthetic Fluid will work fine.

type 7176 is not an old spec. We still use it today on our new cars. In the tcase any automatic trans fluid rated atf type 3 or better will work.
