Default Ford F150 Customer Leaves after seeing RAM 1500

I want to write this out exactly how it happened. Now some of you know my test of life right now
by working for a dealership that is more popular in the area that I live in, yet I personally drive
a black RAM 1500 that I wouldn't trade for anything!

So, here I am...Mr. Salesman.....and a customer is walking on the Ford lot and I approach him
and after the typical feeling out the "needs" of the customer...I offered a test drive and wow,
was he EXCITED to drive a new Ford F-150.

I told him to look over the interior, get a good feeling for the controls and when he was ready to go ahead
and pull out of the lot. As we drove toward the back way...he asked about turning radius and such and I said
to go ahead and do a full circle in the back of the lot....we drove to the back....he was smiling the whole way...
loving his potentially future F150.

As he was elated beyond belief at this point about how incredible the truck performed, he started to talk about
his family, and trips he will take and how he will love his new vehicle.....(now keep in mind he is still driving and
after doing the drive in the back lot, he drove up and over where we park our own vehicles and this is where it
gets good and the whole point to my story...)

As he drives up along the car lot and where we park ours...the speed of the F150 starts to slow down....and his
storied of bar-b-ques, and beach trips quickly subside.....until finally the F150 stops.

He says "What's That" (pointing at my parked RAM 1500)

I said "That's my truck".

He said "wow...that's NICE"....(if I could only tell you his tone of excitement of what he saw now!)

Nothing more was said after that, as he drove the F150 back to the point where we began and said "Thank you Mike,
But the F150 is not what I have in mind."

And although I am a "Ford" salesman, in my heart is DODGE and I smiled at him, shook his hand and said, "I totally understand"....

Nothing's better than a Dodge.....Nothing

And please don't ask WHY I work for Ford I am temporarily

Now that is a funny story! Get down to the local Dodge Dealer and sell Dodges! Darn it! Heck come to Terre Haute, Indiana and I'll get you a sales job at the dealership I work at! We need some salespeople that are diehard Dodge Lovers!

A friend of mine just walked by and asked me what the hell type of comment is that, "Like there is any way to compare a F-150 and a HEMI!" lol.

Your story is awesome, and pulling up any stock F-150 to your truck would make everyone turn twice.
