Default Need Help Installing the Pace-Edwards PowerGate lock

Hi! I just spent the last three hours installing the Pace-Edwards PowerGate lock for my 03 Ram 1500

But now I'm at a dead standstill. I have the wires, and I'm trying to figure out which ones to tap into for the power locks of the truck. The instructions tell me to use the "Tan w/Pink" and "Blue" wires. That's nice. But I worked my way through all of the wiring harnesses by the driver side kick panel and never once did I see a solid blue or a tan with pink stripe! And if you go to the P-E website, they give you even more hokey information - nothing is up to date.

One guy on DTW found that the magic wires are the "lime green" and "tan with dark green stripe". They are used for the Driver Side door lock.

I don’t have those either. It looks as though they change the color of the wire every week or so to make it interesting.

Is it possible to tell me which group you wire them into? The smaller group on the left next to the parking brake or the larger group to the right which has many more wires.

Then if you could tell me how many over left to right and up from the bottom. My guess is that they have many different colors but only one place they plug in.

Thanks

I think your best bet is to consult your wiring diagrams in your trucks service manual. You dont want to tap the wrong wire or if you have any additional add on equipement...ie alarm with door lock controls, you might overload or disable something important.

If all else fails have it professionally done by a reputable shop so if a problem pops up you can have them fix it.

I have an 02 1500 QC SLT. I can send you the wiring skematic if you want it. You can look to see if yours is the same.

It was the medium blue wire, and tan with pink stripe.
