Well the wife was driving my 97' 1500 4x4 to work and all of a sudden 1/2 way there the ABS and brake light come on together and she complains of a "different feeling" brake pedal - I tell her to take her time coming home and I'll take a look at it. Late last night I got a chance and observed the following :
1.ABS light on
2.Brake light on
3. Brake fluid reservoir at the min level and the front smaller portion completely empty ?
4. Very weak brake pedal - almost like no power steering
I can hear the master clylinder actuate and after filing the reservoir I noticed "mixing" of the fluid in the reservoir.
Is the master cylinder shot ? any fuses/relays to check ? should I bleed all the brakes lines out ?
