Default Risks of an exhaust dump?

Are there any risks that can come from having an exhaust dump. I was just talkin with my friend and he said that its not good for hot air to sit under a car, but idk what he is saying, but ya is it ok, and will it pass emissions testing?.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning is definitely a risk. If there is any opening into the cab you'll get gases in the cab, which could build up inside if the windows are up and there isn't enough air circulating. If you have a bed cap and carry an animal, you could poison them in the same manner.

You should always run the exhaust out from under a vehicle.

i would say besides the possible health hazards one risk or problem would be that the exhaust is very corrosive and would corrode the parts it blows on under your truck

this is the same thing that happened to fords when they had to recall the trucks that had the exhaust before the rear tire, it would corrode the rim and the tire would lock up
