I finally got my '78 Trail Duster on the road with the top off, and I get so many looks of approval and nods and waves from other guys driving Dodge trucks that it's crazy, and it's still primer gray, just wait till I paint it, then she'll be a real head-turner with a bright yellow paint job. I've only stopped at a few places with her, and people are asking, "what the heck it that?" and I tell them and they give me this clueless look. I love it!

 

That is pretty funny!
With a truck like miss Red there you would expect to get a lot of respectful waves, even more so because it's better than all the other guys trucks. lol.

 

I get it from other Bikers all the time when on my Gold Wing.

Havnt seen it yet in the truck, but Ive only had it 1 day

 

The other day I saw a new Viper on the road while driving home from work. I waved to it while passing him and thought that there must be some bond between us since we both drive new, powerful Dodges. I was wrong; I got no wave back from the Viper. I can’t blame him either, it’s a Viper after all.

 

If you were that close and he didn't wave you should have hit him, yours it bigger after all.

 

MY suggestion... get one of the "Viper Style" hoods from Suncoast Creations and the next time you see him shove it up his ummmmm tailpipe! The guy who posted saying you are bigger than he is had the right idea... We need to get those little sports car guys to respect us sport TRUCK drivers! LOL..... take care all and have fun!

If you don't have a Hemi but own a Ram that's just as good too.

If I had a Viper I'd think I was a bad a$$ too. But not against a roadrunner. You should have "nudged" him. A roadrunner weighs what, 5 tons or something? lol.

 

When I drove the HEMI I'd get nods and such from other Ram owners, I'd also get some attention from people in 300Cs and Magnum RTs. I'd always wear my HEMI hat it was tight. I was driving next to a Mustang Cobra and he said "That's definately a HEMI!" and gave me a thumbs up.
