so im looking for a intake for my 5.9L 1500 ram. the different ones that i am looking for are as follows.

k&n, apc, volant, and some others that i cant remember.

also, i saw the ones at www.intenseperformance.com and was rather intrigued, but it said that they were for duango/dakota. would these intakes work for my ram? or do they make another model that does?

any info would be great.

First off, stay away from APC!! I have heard nothing but trash about them!!!

Though the intense performance intakes will fit a Ram throtle bodie, if you look the tube is shorter, keeping the filter right by the headers. This will net you hot air wich is what you are trying to get away from.

The two that get the best reviews are K&N and Volant.

K&N is a bit more $$$ but you get what you pay for!!

Every one I have ever known to get the K&N has loved it!!

A buddy of mine put one on his and got GREAT resaults from it!!!

yeah, but yours in the old 360* open filter.

K&N doesnt sell those any mre. Now they put the filter right at the grill with a heat sheild so that the cool air is more or less forced into the system!!!

Its a great design, it even forms a seal with the hood!!
