Hi all,

I've browsed the internet and done research of my own, but I keep on getting conflicted reports as to what I should get. My truck is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2l V8 with 2 wheel drive. Attached is a picture.

I've replaced the entire front bumper, but I want to add a grill guard with some sort of additional lighting (to make up fog lights). Most importantly, I want to add a 3" lift to the truck. I've heard I also need to replace the shocks and rear block... what are your opinions on this?

Also, I would like to know about performance upgrades to the engine. I know very little in this regard, so whatever advice you may have is greatly appreciated. Air intake, exhaust, whatever... One thing I do want, is for the truck to have a better sound... deeper, to show that v8 growl.

Any thoughts on a sound system to install?
