Exaust
I know this has been hashed out over and over again but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how a gibson muffler sounds compaired to a flowmaster or a magnaflow. I have not had the opportuinity to hear one. also I was planning on putting turndowns in front of the rear axels and was wondering if it would cause an excess of noise in the cab. any help would be appreciated
Gibson's website has sound clips for each of thier exhausts. Listen to the Sport Truck clip and imagine that sound hitting the ground and bouncing back up and hitting the truck bed. Ithink it would be pretty loud and verging on annoying. IMO .
That's what made me not get the GibsonSport Truck Exit Exhaust... didn't like the sound compared to my Mopar Performance Cat Back Exhaust... but then again, I don't know what truck/engine the sound clip is portraying...

well lets put it this way, my manager has a 01' R/T with flowmaster, he had the muffler shop cut off his Gibson exhaust that he had put from a earlier time.

My truck has a magnaflow, I have a 4.7L and very happy with it. my site has some sound clips of my exhaust.

Also Magnaflow.comhas a 5.9 Ram clip

Flowmasters website also has sound clips, check it out. I think they have the best exhaust sound(other than open headers) on Earth.www.flowmastermufflers.com
