Default This is a dumb question..

..but what is the purpose of the rubber along the bottom of the front bumper? Is it (1) meant to be used for airflow over the vehicle, or is it (2) there so you know when you get too close to the curb when parking? My truck sit's too high without a lift kit for it to be useful for the second option so I'm assuming it's for airflow over the vehicle. But then again the truck sits high so how useful could it actually be as an airflow device???[sm=smiley24.gif]

Good question. I always thought it was for airflow and cosmetic reasons. You wouldn't want to run your chrome or painted bumper into the curb, would you?

You need to put a caption under that picture saying something about kissing his shiney metal butt.
