Default catalytic converter

I have had someone offer to put on my exhaust system and remove the catalytic converter if I want him to. I know this is illegal and what not, but besides that, is there any reprecussions I should be aware of? Will this screw up the stock fuel management or make it run lean?

I would either get O2 sims or a free flow cat while you are at it.

If your doing it for the sound, think twice..It can really open up a motor with a number of mods though
