Default starting after a wreck

we have a '99 150 prime time ram van. It was involved in a front end wreck. Smushed the radiator, transmission cooler, etc. The key will not turn over the engine anymore. We can bypass the ignition switch to make it turn over, we can turn the key to ON and bypass the start switch and the truck will run. Is there a safety fuse somewhere that is causing the switch not to operate? There is also a theft prevention device on this model. It seems that the battery shorted out during the accident. Is there a fusible link between the switch and the solenoid?
the Battery seems to be fine, the lights work etc. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

**Blink** **Blink**

Was the wreck your fault? If not make the other summagun fix it for you.
